SUMMARY:Webinar: Industry Dialogue with DOE on the Energy Storage Grand Challenge Roadmap!
DESCRIPTION:For more information about DOE’s Energy Storage Grand Challenge\, please visit: https://www.energy.gov/energy-storage-grand-challenge/energy-storage-grand-challenge. \nThe U.S. Energy Storage Association has arranged a special\, in-depth\, and interactive Industry Dialogue with DOE on the new U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Storage Grand Challenge Draft Roadmap and emerging DOE funding opportunities. Click here to register. \nIn January\, DOE announced this comprehensive program to accelerate the development\, commercialization\, and utilization of next-generation energy storage technologies\, and to sustain American global leadership. \nThis Industry Dialogue with DOE will delve into DOE’s draft research\, development\, and deployment plans.  DOE seeks our industry’s feedback on specific elements of the Draft Roadmap\, such as how the five integrated tracks (technology development\, technology transition\, policy & evaluation\, domestic manufacturing & supply chain\, and workforce development) can best be structured to help the industry move promising technologies from the lab to the factory to the marketplace. Participants will also gain valuable insights on how the Grand Challenge might affect DOE support for energy storage technologies. \nThis 90 minute presentation and Q&A session was originally configured as a pre-event interactive Learning Lab\, followed by a keynote address by the Secretary of Energy introducing the draft Roadmap at the ESA Annual Conference & Expo (#ESACon20). Accordingly\, the webinar is free to all current #ESACon20 registrants and ESA members\, and with a nominal registration cost to non-members. \nSpeakers: \n\nAlejandro Moreno\, Director of Water Power Technologies Office in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)\, U.S. Department of Energy\nEric Hsieh\, Director of Grid Systems and Components\, Office of Electricity’s Advanced Grid R&D Division\, U.S. Department of Energy\n\nNote: On May 1\, DOE hosted a broad\, high-level overview on the Grand Challenge Roadmap for the general public. \n
