SUMMARY:U.S. Energy Storage Monitor - 2021 1st Quarter Summary Webinar
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is open only to current ESA members. \nDelivered quarterly from Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables\, the U.S. Energy Storage Monitor provides the industry’s only comprehensive research on energy storage markets\, deployments\, policies\, regulations and financing in the U.S. These in-depth reports provide energy industry professionals\, policymakers\, government agencies and financiers with consistent\, actionable insight into the burgeoning U.S. energy storage market. \nIn the most recent Energy Storage Monitor\, 2\,156 megawatt-hours (MWh) of new energy storage systems were brought online in Q4 2020. This is an increase of 182% from Q3 2020\, making Q4 the new record quarter for U.S. storage. \nAs prices fall and barriers to storage deployment are eroded\, front-of-the-meter (FTM) storage is taking off in the U.S. Four out of every five megawatts (MW) deployed in Q4 were FTM storage. The segment contributed 529 MW out of the total 651 MW of storage deployed in Q4. California saw the lion’s share of Q4 FTM deployments\, according to the report. \nDownload the most recent Energy Storage Monitor here. ESA members can contact events@energystorageassociationarchive.org to receive a discount off the full report. \nHost: Marc Chupka\, VP of Research & Programs\, U.S. Energy Storage Association \nSpeakers: \n\nGregson Curtin\, Solar & Storage Market Analyst\, Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables\nChloe Holden\, Energy Storage Analyst\, Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables\n\nThis event has now passed. ESA members can access the archive through the Member Portal here.
