ESA Asks FERC to Keep Proceedings Related to PJM Capacity Accreditation in Abeyance, Pending Forthcoming ELCC Filing
ESA submitted comments today in support of PJM’s motion to hold proceedings related to its ELCC filing in abeyance, rebutting the Internal Market Monitory (IMM) request on 5/19 to initiate proceedings regardless of PJM’s forthcoming filing activity. PJM has stated that it intends to refile the ELCC mechanism by 6/1 with modifications consistent with FERC’s 4/30 Order outlining what the Commission would likely consider just and reasonable. ESA’s comments express support for holding the briefing schedule in abeyance pending FERC’s review of PJM’s forthcoming filing, which is critical to removing barriers to energy storage participation in PJM’s capacity market.
