ESA is Becoming ACP in 2022
Starting January 1st, ESA will become part of the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and begin a new, powerful chapter in our industry’s advocacy.
Your ESA membership will convert automatically to ACP membership on January 1st. There is no dues commitment for ESA members through March 31, 2022. Please contact Brenda Lovell at blovell@cleanpower.org for more details or to decline your automatic, first quarter 2022 membership in ACP.
The ESA team has been honored to serve you over the past decade, and we are proud to have stewarded the final leg of more than 30 years of work as the Utility Battery Group, the Electric Storage Association, and finally the U.S. Energy Storage Association. The tremendous growth of the energy storage industry is proof that ESA has succeeded in our mission to accelerate the widespread use of competitive and reliable energy storage systems in North America.
To continue our momentum, ESA Board of Directors Chair Kiran Kumaraswamy and Vice Chair Jacqueline DeRosa will be joining the ACP Board of Directors next year. The ACP Storage Council will take over from ESA’s Leadership Circle to guide the work ahead on energy storage. I look forward to working with you to continue advocating on behalf of the energy storage industry, with more power than ever behind us. Stay tuned for information on upcoming ACP events around energy storage–including the Energy Storage Policy Forum, returning again for the 8th time on February 16, 2022 in Washington DC.
From all of us at ESA–best wishes for a happy and healthy new year (and lots of energy storage).
Jason Burwen, Interim CEO, ESA (ACP VP of Energy Storage as of January 1, 2022)
Becca Dietrich, VP of Operations, ESA (ACP VP of Strategy as of January 1, 2022)
Brenda Lovell, Membership Director, ESA (ACP Member Relations Manager – Energy Storage as of January 1, 2022)
