ESA Testifies in Support of Maryland Tax Incentive Program Improvements
ESA will provide testimony today in front of the Maryland Ways and Means Committee in support of House Bill (HB) 980. The bill makes several modifications to improve the Maryland energy storage tax incentive program, which was created through legislation in 2017. Specifically, the bill codifies that third-party owned systems would be eligible to receive the incentive and raises the incentive cap for commercial and industrial customers to $150,000. The program’s 2022 sunset date would remain in place.
