ESA Reiterates Call for 1 GW Energy Storage Target in Nevada
ESA will submit reply comments today at the Nevada Commission in response to opening comments filed by parties on October 10 on the implementation of Nevada’s draft regulations for an energy storage procurement target (called for in Senate Bill 204 passed into law in 2017). In our comments, ESA underscores the near-consensus among parties for a target of at least 1 GW by 2030, and supports Staff’s recommendation for clarity on treatment of procured resources. ESA will attend the November 14 workshop where the Hearing Officer will work with parties to finalize the regulations.
