This is the first in a series of conversations to be hosted by E’Lon Cohen Hall and Kristen Graf. The title of the series, WRISE Unafraid, is a nod to the song Rise Up by Andra Day and is part of our commitment to continue to work to hold this community accountable to our name and to each other. This new series is a part of our efforts to root out and dismantle racism and white supremacy alongside sexism, homophobia, oppression and all of the roots of system failure. We need to face each other with grace and compassion so that with each stumble we don’t fall backward or give up, but pull each other up, dust off and rise unafraid.
